Another Successful Kitchen Skills Essentials

Chef Amanda ensured all our participants were informed on the necessary skills to pass the SafeCheck Food Safety and Handling National exam.

Our Kitchen Skills Essentials Program went off beautifully in June, and our participants are working at many places across the Greater St. John’s area. One of the highlights of the training was the opportunity to showcase their skills during a head-to-head challenge, where two teams made vastly different three course meals, but in the end they both thrived with the skills they learned in the program.

Chef Amanda and Employment Facilitator Melissa worked with the group of eight for the full four weeks, giving them skills they would require to be successful in a kitchen environment.
