Our Youth Are Working Employment Program is in full swing!
With Covid-19 still a major concern around the world, we decided to pick six youth to take part for 2020 instead of our regular 10. Even with reduced numbers, the group has been enjoying the training and resume enhancements they have been receiving so far.
We have had some amazing organizations and trainers come in to present important information to our youth, including the Newfoundland and Labrador Employers’ Council, Association for New Canadians and Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador, among many others.
These valuable opportunities are not lost on our young people. In fact, they have already planned to be a part of their OH&S committees, have created open and respectful relationships with each other and our staff, and have made big strides towards their future goals.
