Youth are getting to work!
We have been busy as bees here at the Youth Are Working Employment Centre over the past two months, helping many of our young people secure some fantastic new jobs with some great new partners. But first, many wanted to take part in some of our training opportunities.
Part of our Youth Are Working and Test Drive training is that we get to work with other members of the Waypoints team for some of that training.
We were honoured to have Rindala and Natalie, who are both certified instructors with St. John Ambulance and Child and Youth Care Workers with Waypoints, teach a group of 10 youth Emergency First Aid.
Our youth, Ian (far left) and Jade (far right), wanted to show our fellow Waypoints workers just how sweet they are with a special treat each from one of our Employers, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factor.
Both Ian and Jade are now working, and we are excited to see what comes next for them!
